For those that have some kayaking experience, our kayaks are perfect for your solo adventures. (Single or double kayaks available). Rentals rates: Single kayaks $30 for a two hour period. Double kayaks $45 for a two hour period.

Kayak rental prices are for a 2-hour period. Sorry we do not offer 1 hour rental pricing, though I think you’ll find that many of our competitors charge the same rates for just 1 hour rentals. And really it’s not about burning yourself out by paddling as hard as you can. Instead paddle at a relaxed pace and have plenty of time to sit with the dolphins that you will very likely find. It’s a beautiful thing to relax and at times even just float and take in the views! We will happily go over the area with you, talk about the tides and best places to find dolphins and other wildlife as well as answer any questions that you would like.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED in all months! Please note that we are open every day but we are not staffed at the water location for rentals every second of the day so a reservation is required. We add the next few sentences to save you the aggravation of showing up and not being able to get the kayaks that you would like. In the offseason if you show up without a reservation, there most likely will be no one there to rent you a kayak as we too are enjoying the slower season 🙂 In the summer months showing up without a reservation might mean the kayaks will all be reserved. Simply call us and we are happy to help or you can reserve through the “book now” button on any webpage and we will be sure to have kayaks ready for you. Often a same day reservation is just fine during the slower times of the year and sometimes in the summer too but we highly recommend calling 843-684-1910 before coming out for a rental OR of course you can click the “BOOK NOW” button to book your reservation. And if you don’t see a time online for a rental that works for you just give us a call and most often we can do the time that works for you or at least close to it. Thanks!

Please note: Kayak rentals are for those looking to kayak on their own without the tour. Kayak rentals are for those that can demonstrate that they are competent to be out on the water on their own and without a guide. Kayak tours are fine for everyone. Though we are there to help you, you must be able to demonstrate that you can get in and out of a kayak unassisted otherwise for safety reasons we will require you to join a guided tour instead of going out on your own. And of course a tour is great for both the experienced and inexperienced alike! Thanks for your understanding)

Our kayak rentals are for a two hour period. In 2 hours you can explore the same areas where our tours go to look for dolphins. (Please note that we do not allow kayak rental groups to wonder through areas of oyster beds because of damage it causes to our kayaks.) Kayak rentals are a great way to go relax and explore on your own though if you are interested in exploring into the marsh where most of the oyster beds lie than it is best to be with a guide that knows where these oyster beds lie which is often just below the surface of the water. We are happy to offer the best advice we can as far as the best places to go looking for DOLPHINS!
