Though it’s always fun to visit the many great Hilton Head restaurants, it can also be a lot of fun to grab a pizza and take your chairs and beach blankets and enjoy your dinner as the sun goes down over the ocean right at your favorite beach spot! Just thought we’d share a little local tip that sometimes visitors don’t think about doing 🙂

Shark Fishing From the pier
Small 1 to 3 foot sharks can be caught from the piers here on Hilton Head. If you didn’t bring your rods you can make a quick trip to Walmart for a rod, reel and bait and go have some fun. Small sharks, sting rays and lots of other “fun fishing” types of fish can be caught by bottom fishing from the pier underneath the Cross Island bridge as well as the first right hand turn after coming onto Hilton Head which accesses the pier at the north end of Hilton Head. It’s a great way to spend the early morning or evening while on vacation!
Family Crabbing From The Pier
From the same piers listed above you can bring your crabbing nets and catch a few blue crabs just for fun or maybe even catch a dozen for dinner!
